Abstract

| One of the more usual non destructive test techniques in the reinforced concrete structures, is the measure of the ultrasonic impulses propagation speed. The purpose of the work presented in this communication is to find out through this technique, a fast, economical and easy-use procedure that allows to detect corrosion problems in the frames before visible fissures appear. To check the validity of this technique, the propagation time evolution of these waves has been measured while the frame is corroding. | |
