| The objective of this course along all its modules is to familiarize professionals with the latest insights, context and concepts in integrated water resources management and in the use of models and tools to facilitate its implementation. A special emphasis will be laid on the use of water in agriculture. At the end of the training, participants will have an integrated view on water resources management and on the main issues of debate, including law and governance; the role of institutions; water as an economic, social and environmental good; water for sustainable development; interaction between sectors and participatory water saving management. They will also acquire knowledge and practice on the use of new models and techniques for a sustainable and an integrated water management. | |
