Abstract

| The Standard IEEE802.11e brought about the opportunity of supplying real time services with strict requirements of quality of service in WLAN networks, originally intended to transport solely best-effort data traffic.This paper evaluates the implications of using these networks for supplying these kind of services, analyzing the concept of user-perceived QoS in voice and conversational video over IP services , and proposing a procedure to include this concept in the planning process of an IEEE802.11 WLAN oriented to guarantee quality in voice and conversational video over IP services. | |
