| In recent years there has been a considerable increase in awareness of the impact that the quality of air, water, soil and food have on human health. Of these elements, noise pollution not only affects our health and quality of life, but also our social behavior and cognitive development. The noise can have different effects depending on their type, duration and time of occurrence and the sensitivity of the receiver. In particular, recent scientific research have shown that the noise, can have health effects disturbing the sleep and promoting psychosomatic illnesses, therefore the problem of noise pollution must be addressed decisively and assessed risks to its effects on human health. | |
