| Geotechnical activities in construction projects constitute a significant part of them. The cost of the foundation structure is changing, not only according to the soil conditions, but also due to management skills and management decisions made during the project. Construction project participants are trying to achieve an optimal situation in the reallocation of risk, or transfer a part of the risk to insurance companies. The same situation refers to the geotechnical risk. The latest technical standards place great emphasis on decision-making process, thereby transferring responsibility for the risk to consulting and realization organizations. The proposed geotechnical SWOT study was being executed in order to evaluate the potential of procesing organizations as well as some of the inherent operational risks of determined geotechnical projects in Slovakia. | |
