A technique to detect unwanted radiation points in antenna measurements is described. Such technique is based on the use of an antenna diagnostic method and an algorithm to shift the field over different planes. The main objective is to obtain the plane wave spectrum (PWS) information, so if the measurement is in far-field, it is possible to obtain it directly from the field components. In the case of a planar near-field measurement, the PWS can be obtained like the Fourier Transform of the field measured. If the measurement is made in other system, it is necessary to carry out a near-field to far-field transformation, however, in the second case can be employed a technique developed recently. Once it is known the PWS, the field over any plane is obtained immediately by means of the use of Fourier Transforms and PWS shifts. Finally, it is found those unwanted radiation points. | |
