| Wireless local area networks (WLAN) technology based on the 802.11 family has become a resource in solving communication needs in multiple applications. With the appearance of IEEE802.11e, some of the applications that have gained momentum are those related to the communications that not only transport LAN data or web type Internet access, but also mainly IPbased voice and video with strict QoS requirements. This fact will make necessary to adapt procedures commonly used in the planning and dimensioning process of IEEE802.11 networks. In this paper, a procedure to assess quality of service in EDCA IEEE802.11e networks with both real and non real time services is presented. | |
