This paper presents a systematic method to design bandpass waveguide resonator filters using low temperature co-fired ceramic (LTCC) technology. The main target is to demonstrate that LTCC highly reduces the size of this waveguide filters and can obtain good measurement results. Two filters are designed, one of them at 20 GHz whose adjacent cavities are coupled by a narrow slot at the edge of the common broad wall and the other at 30 GHz whose adjacent cavities are coupled by an inductive window on the sidewall. Feeding structures, in both filters, consist of a microstrip line coupled by a slot at the edge of the cavity upper wall. It is demonstrated that results agree with EM simulations. | |
