Abstract

| Nowadays, the application of nanotechnology concepts to medicine has produced big amounts of heterogeneous data [1]. The use of information and communication technologies could help to launch and support medical research at nano-scale. While Biomedical Informatics (BMI) comprehends information processing and management covering topics from the public health level down to the molecular level, Nanoinformatics extends this to include the nano level. Current research at this nano level adds a promising new field, augmenting, and drawing on decades of research and experience in BMI. | |
