This specific period is considered as one of the most influential moments in housing in Britain within the search of a new pattern of domesticity capable to combine privacy and new individual routines due changes in society. Candem projects offered a radical view of the urban living within the context of the metropolis of the sixties when the development of the welfare society was being set. Privacy, a new combination of hierarchies and the challenge of main features of traditional domestic domain are developed as tools for the analysis of these study cases in varying levels of detail and are expected to assist in the understanding of constructing contemporary domestic space and its relation to the city. | |
