R+D+i Observatory

The Observatory at the Universidad Politécnica de Madrid is a platform that gives information about the R&D+i carried out at the university. The tool allows data about projects, research structures, results protection and university-business chairs to be consulted and simple graphics and statistical analyses to be generated.

Main aims

The aim of the R&D+i Observatory is to bring together all the information about the research and innovation work done at the university, so that it is public and accessible to the university community, to business and, in general, to any user interested in the scientific production carried out at UPM and the results generated.

Research structures

The R&D+i research groups and centres and institutes are a vehicle for research and knowledge transfer.

Research projects

National, regional, international and in-house projects carried out within the research structures enable us to progress with society's scientific development, always aligned with achieving the Sustainable Development Goals set out in the 2030 Agenda.

Knowledge transfer

The research results may be capable of protection by patent and software, fostering their transfer to the production sector. Furthermore, they may also give rise to the creation of spin-off and start-up business at UPM.
