CEDINT-UPM is a multidisciplinary R&D Center. Our research activities are divided into the areas of Energy Efficiency and IoT, Virtual Reality, Optical Engineering, Biometry, Optical Communications, Technoeconomics and Acoustic Technologies. To adapt to the complexity of new challenges at the frontier of knowledge, collaboration between these areas has become more inter- and transdisciplinary over the years, so that CEDINT-UPM is able to address current R&D challenges holistically.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

CEDINT's mission is to explore the frontier of science in disciplines related to advanced interactive technologies and energy efficiency, combining basic and applied research. CEDINT-UPM brings together specialists in engineering areas such as Internet of Things, Communications, Computer Science, Ambient Intelligence, Security and Biometrics, Renewable Energies, Advanced Optics and Architecture, among others. Its research activities are developed in 4 laboratories included in the Network of Laboratories and Infrastructures of the Community of Madrid that offer a valuable environment for the implementation and testing of research results: Internet of Things Laboratory; Virtual and Augmented Reality; Optical Engineering; and Digital Manufacturing.
