\n Our group started off in the Transport Research Centre<\/a> at the Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid (TRANSyT). It is currently one of two groups (the only one from the UPM) in TRANSyT.<\/span>\n <\/p>\n

\n Since its beginnings, the Group has efficiently promoted the participation of its researchers in projects in the European Union Framework Programmes and National Plans, as well as their collaboration with authorities and businesses.<\/span>\n <\/p>\n

\n We are currently working on three research projects in the 7th European Union Framework Programme, we have three R&D projects in the National Plan, and two with the European Investment Bank. We also have three University-Business Chairs on the go.<\/span>\n <\/p>\n

\n Our aims are to generate the capacity for leadership and participation in international state-of-the-art research programmes, projects and networks within the ERA (European Research Area); train researchers-doctorates in the field of transport research; boost relations with other national and international centres; and serve as a bridge between the University and players in the transport sector: authorities, businesses and institutions, students and citizens.
