Tiene un car&aacute;cter multidisciplinar, integrado por especialistas en todas estas tem&aacute;ticas, lo que permite abordar sus investigaciones mediante modernas tecnolog&iacute;as. El Grupo investiga en estructuras sismorresistentes avanzadas que incorporan sistemas de control pasivo. Subsequently they can join research teams and\/or take on responsible roles in R&amp;I departments in companies.<\/span>\n            <\/p>\n            <p style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n                <span style=\"font-family: verdana,geneva; font-size: small;\">Our work is deeply socially involved. For example, after the Haiti and Lorca earthquakes we provided our know-how to help alleviate the disasters that had occurred. Moreover, we have taken part in various forums \u00bfmany of them via the media\u00bf to explain the events that have happened to the people. This work of bringing our knowledge to society, and making our research results available to it, includes the development of new devices for passive structure control (energy dissipaters). The group has worked on seismic profiling for locations with critical facilities and drawing up seismic standards both in Spain and Europe. It also addresses other similar, complementary areas framed within the field of geosciences, and in the organisation and visualisation of georeferenced information, with the GIS domain being noteworthy. It is multi-disciplinary by nature, made up of specialists on all these subjects, which means it can approach its research using modern technology. The Group researches advanced quake-resistant structures that include passive control systems.
