The Automata and Robotics Centre (CAR) is a joint research centre between the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) and the Universidad Polit\u00e9cnica de Madrid (UPM). It was founded in November 2009.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

Its main objective is to develop research in the fields of Control Engineering, Artificial Perception and Robotics.<\/span><\/p>\r\n

CAR's research activity is articulated through participation in national and international competitive programmes, as well as through bilateral and multilateral research contracts. In addition, applied research is carried out through research and funding agreements with industry. CAR's research activity is strategically linked to postgraduate training at UPM, which includes a Master and a PhD in Automation and Robotics.<\/span><\/p>","imagen":false,"responsable":"","lineas":"","direccion":"CTRA. The Centre for Automation and Robotics has two sites. The CSIC headquarters in Arganda del Rey (Madrid), and the UPM headquarters at the E.T.S. de Ingenieros Industriales in Madrid.<\/p>\r\n

The Centre is equipped with five unique research infrastructures:<\/p>\r\n

-  AUTOPIA autonomous driving track<\/strong>(Arganda)<\/p>\r\n

-  Marsi Care Lab<\/strong> (Arganda)<\/p>\r\n

-  Industry and Society 5.0 Laboratory<\/strong>(Arganda)<\/p>\r\n

-  CAR Robotics Arena<\/strong>(ETSII)<\/p>\r\n
