{"id":11650,"date":"2022-11-21T12:33:30","date_gmt":"2022-11-21T11:33:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.upm.es\/recursosidi\/offers-resources\/sin categor\u00eda\/qarsp-2\/"},"modified":"2022-11-21T12:33:33","modified_gmt":"2022-11-21T11:33:33","slug":"qarsp-2","status":"publish","type":"product","link":"https:\/\/www.upm.es\/recursosidi\/en\/offers-resources\/technological-solutions\/qarsp-2\/","title":{"rendered":"QARSP"},"content":{"rendered":"<h4>Brief description of the solution and the added value it delivers<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Solution to achieve maximum energy efficiency in domestic microwave ovens and industrial processes using microwave heating.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Description of the technological basis<\/h4>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Using the new <strong> <em>Quasi<\/em> <\/strong> <strong> <em>-Aislador-Rec&iacute;proco-Sin-P&eacute;rdidas<\/em> <\/strong> (<strong>QARSP<\/strong>) (loss-free quasi-reciprocal isolator) device, which is placed between the microwave generator and the object to be heated, offers a double improvement:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Delivering more energy to the object to be heated, and<\/li>\n<li>Reducing the reflection withstood by the generator.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The former provides a significant increase (up to 100%) in the energy performance of the heating system.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">The latter provides additional protection for the generator, extending its useful life.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">QARSP produces both improvements whatever the object to be heated may be, without the need for any kind of mechanical or electrical adjustment. Compared to the system of protecting the generator by means of an isolator, which, apart from its high cost, results in losses that are higher the greater the impedance mismatch, QARSP does not introduce losses and its cost is well below that of the isolator.<\/p>\n<blockquote style=\"text-align: center;padding: 20px 10px\" title=\"Quote\"><p>&#8216;System and method for improving the energy performance of a microwave heating process&#8217;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<hr \/>\n<h4>Business needs \/ application<\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Improving the energy performance of household electrical appliances and in particular microwave ovens.<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Being able to have an <strong>A+++ <\/strong> energy label, for maximum energy efficiency, on the microwave (https:\/\/www.etiquetaenergetica.com\/microondas-mas-eficiente\/).<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify\">Improving the energy performance of industrial sectors (<em>pharmaceuticals<\/em>, <em>plastics<\/em>, <em>chemicals<\/em>, <em>paper<\/em>, <em>food and drink<\/em>, etc.) that use microwave heating (J.
