| In order to manage properly the roads maintenance, the manager should have a deep knowledge of their condition. This knowledge is acquired with a proper combination of data collection and process tools where to see and interpret it. So the specialist can prioritize and program year after year, all improvement investments according as well with the objectives (i.e., reduction of fatal accidents) and financial annual resources. This paper mainly deals of how the properly finance and road-improvement plans has been estimated using an Asset Management System and how its implementation within the Ministry of Public Works of UAE (real case) will fulfill its needs, about how to make a proper financial plan to develop the maintenance activities, combining it with the current condition regarding with traffic service levels, road safety and daily maintenance. | |
