Abstract
The objective of this project if to correlate crystalline defects with the electro-magnetic-optical properties in micro and nanostructured ceramic. This objective will required the understanding of basic phenomena as a key knowledgment to develop design and processing strategies to exploit the coupling of properties in nanostructured ceramic systems. To afford such objective single and multiferroic ceramics are choosen due to the solid background of the research groups in this fiels and their international collaborations. The specific objectives that the project might afford: 1. Development of nanoparticles and ceramics with different crystallinity and dimensionality. 2. Characterization of nanoparticles and nanostructured ceramics. 3. Application of knowledge to single and multiferroic ceramics. 4. Results exploitation.
