Soils are highly complex natural systems. Soil complexity may be easily perceived, but it is often difficult to represent it in mathematical terms without making strong simplifying assumptions. This implies that several different parameterizations can be applicable and identifiable consistent with the available observations. This session seeks presentations on soil parameterization at different scales and for different applications, search for patterns in soil-related information, and soil process modeling. | |
