This paper investigates the effects of an unsymmetrical three-phase line on the currents, voltages and derating of a three-phase induction motor using the complex current unbalance factor, CCUF. From this parameter, it is derived an analytical expression to estimate the unbalance reactance from one transmission line phase and it is shown the experimental checking. Lastly, the maximum allowable slip and the derating factor are evaluated, depending on this unbalance reactance value. | |
