Cement matrixes are used in different types of structures. Same of these structures can be submitted to aggressive conditions and is very important to predict the degradation that can be produced in those. The monitoring of the structures using ferro, pyro and piezoelectric sensors can be used to predict deteriorations in the first steps and permits to act on these structures. In this study cement matrixes, made with slag additions, have been submitted to different aggressive conditions. And have been characterized by non destructives testing as electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and ultrasonic waves. The degradation processes characterized are: Low temperatures (- 4ºC and -15ºC), high temperatures (40ºC and 80ºC) and general cracking, comparing these with reference samples in dry storage. The results obtained by electrical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and ultrasonic waves techniques permits identify the cement paste degradations.&cambi | |
