Osteogenesis imperfecta (OI) is a genetic disorder characterized by increased bone fragility and low bone mass. It is commonly known as a ?brittle bone disease? and the high fragility is shown through the fractures of long extremities, ribs, etc. [1]. OI is a rare disease (~29,000 Europeans [2]) and people affected do not have a proper safety restraint during vehicle travel due to their anthropometric and bone characteristics. | |
