Relation of the temperature dependence of W fuzz formation with defect trapping

Abstract
Tungsten (W) has been found to form a highly underdense nanostructured morphology (?W fuzz?) when bombarded by an intense flux of He ions from a plasma,but only in the temperature window 900?2000 K. We have previously studied the W fuzz formation by classical molecular dynamics (MD) and kinetic Monte Carlo (KMC)methods.
