International Development (ID) is a specific sector in the application of Project Management in relation to the use of projects aimed to generate changes. In particular, to have an impact on the living standards of vulnerable groups of po-pulation. This study reveals the particularities and complexities on ID projects and presents the evolution, strengths and limitations of the Logical Framework (LF), a tool used for nearly five decades for planning these projects. The indistinct use of Risk Management spring up as one of the most important limitation of this tool and it means an encumbrance on the success opportunities of ID projects. A proper management of risks is made for these projects by the use of the new tool Cultural Risk Breakdown Structure (CRBS), where risks associated to cultural differences play an important role. | |
