Complex scientific and real-world problems require advanced problem-solving techniques. - Problems are either large-scale or computationally demanding. - Current techniques are inefficient in this context. - User interaction and supervision can dramatically improve the results. The objective of this project is the development of an integrated optimization and data mining framework that allows the interactive analysis of optimization results and uses models at the core of the optimization process.
