Descripción
The specific conditions associated with the measurement and subsequent characterization of the surface texture make it advisable to create software measurement standards. The ISO regulations have collected this idea with the publication of a standard [1] that establishes the main criteria to consider in the development of a software measurement standard of these characteristics. The present paper describes the development of the key elements inherent to the construction of a type F2 standard according to ISO 5436-2. First, a review of the three currently existing implementations of this type of standard is carried out and their main operating characteristics are indicated. Following is an analysis of the requirements and benefits that this type of standards should incorporate, setting the requirements to consider the development of a standard. Next, the steps followed in the software measurement standard generation are explained in detail, as well as the main elements of the created standard, designated as "SurfaceCalc". It is also described in detail the relationship between the elements and the flow of information generated between the user and the standard, justifying the use of different programming languages among which we can mention the following: HyperText Markup Language (HTML), Cascading Style Sheets (CSS), JavaScript (JS), Hypertext Preprocessor (PHP) GNU Octave and Linux. Each language gives specific answers to the specific operational needs raised. Finally, some conclusions and a series of considerations are made about the result obtained.
