A family of sources with special coherence characteristics is studied. This type of sources belongs to a more general class of sources showing circular coherence that has been recently proposed. Their degree of coherence exhibits a cosine dependence on the difference between the squared radial coordinates of the two points. Analytical expression for the propagated field is derived. The characteristics of these sources and the generated fields upon free propagation are analyzed in detail. | |
