BaLTS: BADA Aircraft Lift Trajectory Simulator

The main objective of the BaLTS project (BADA aircraft lift Trajectory Simulator) relies on the simulation of commercial aircraft take-off maneuvers as a function of a desired rate of climb input condition. Using the Base of Aircraft Data (BADA), which provides a set of ASCII files containing performance and operating procedure coefficients for 295 different aircraft types, and the User Manual for Revision 3.6 of BADA that provides definitions of each of the coefficients and then explains the file formats, The BaLTS simulator (coded in Matlab) uses the Total-Energy Model -TEM to compute the physical/aerodynamics model of the aircraft in order to achieve the required Velocity and Thrust capacity to perform the take-off maneuver condition at the required rate of climb.
