This study was aimed to evaluate, through in situ methods, the efficiency of this treatment on SFM using malic or phosphoric acids on the net supply of metabolizable CP. Effects to use the rate of comminution of particles (kc) in addition to that of their outflow from the rumen (kp) to estimate the digestive availability were also examined. The study show the convenience to consider the rate of particle comminution to a correct in situ feed evaluation, as well as a large increase of the protein digestive efficiency with the protective treatments with any of both acids. | |
