| With in the scope of the RILEM TC 213-MAI several workshops have been organized intended exclusively for PhD students who are working in the field of durability of reinforced concrete and service life modelling. The first two editions of this series of workshop were held in Madrid (2007) and in Zagreb (2008). The third edition of this workshop was held 22-24 October 2009 at the University of Minho in Guimarães, Portugal. The workshop has accomplished in bringing together several PhD students, either just starting or well advanced in their study, from the same field of research in contact with each other, and promote a scientific dialogue between them. This achievement has helped the students to become more familiar with the presentation of their research activities. In addition, many technical discussions on topics of interest were generated, fomenting the exchange of points of view in a relaxed and informal environment. | |
