Usability is not only the problem of finding the correct place for every button in the application, but making it in such a way that the user feels comfortable using it. This work issues a subset of this problem that is not usually taken into account when developing search engines: adapting the results of an user query to the answers that he/she expects to obtain, which depends on the different point of view (the preferences and/or beliefs) of each user in each situation. We propose an application architecture capable of answering a user query with the answers that the user expects to obtain. This is done by asking the user to precise the fuzzy concepts in the query and using the precised fuzzy concepts to return only the answers to the meaning of the query that the user has in mind. Since maybe the applications more suitable to benefit from this improvement are those related to e-commerce, we introduce our proposal from the benefits that can be obtained by using user-sensitive search engines in {e-commerce} applications. | |
