Conceiving an undergraduate case-based course imposes some design decisions in the course organization (regarding work time distribution and assessment), in the materials used (specific cases, usually shorter and narrower than the standard ones) and in the course delivery. In this paper, we revisit these aspects from our practical experience with undergraduates. Additionally, we describe the process to create a case-based session for engineering students. Due to contradictory works on casebased learning effectiveness, we finally describe our future strategy to validate the suitability of this case-based approach in courses related to project and information technology management in engineering majors. | |
