| In this paper we present the verification of a multi-agent negotiation protocol known as the extended Contract Net Protocol. The verification of this kind of highly concurrent and distributed systems is computationally hard. We present some evidence which shows that the functional programming language Erlang is a very good choice for implementing this kind of systems together with the use of McErlang model checker as formal verificaton tool. That combination allowed us to carry out an analysis that revealed a mispecification of the protocol that derives from the non-deterministic behaviour of distributed systems. | |
