Innovation enables the creation of competitive advantages and facilitates the adaptation to new market trends, providing more value for the organizations and their processes, products and services. One of the most critical ingredients of an innovative idea is its source of inspiration, which can originate due to a wide range of contributing elements: the sources of innovation. Nowadays, organizations involved in software intensive systems development need to identify and systemati- cally integrate as much innovative knowledge as possible, which includes focusing inside and outside the organization boundaries. In every case, we suggest a systematic identi?cation of the innovation sources to increase the value creation for organizations involved in software intensive sys- tems development, speci?cally in their development processes and their products and services portfolio. By applying the Systematic Literature Review method, resources have been obtained that can be useful to sup- port a systematic identi?cation of the innovation sources available for organizations involved in software intensive systems development. | |
