The local area of Mogarraz (Salamanca) is located in a Natural Protected Site, ?Parque Natural de las Batuecas- Sierra de Francia?. It has suffered an intense emigration process, resulting in land abandonment and population ageing. This reality is extensible to the rest of municipalities included in protected areas of Castilla y León. To tackle this situation the Program ?Parques Naturales de Castilla y León? (Sept 2002) was developed. The Program is focused on conservation and rural socio-economic development. This work is based on the Program and aims to improve the living conditions of the population of Mogarraz, recovering economic and social activity, and enhancing and conserving the existing environmental values. With this purpose, it has been designed a methodological diagram that serves as guide for the elaboration of this type of restoration projects. Logical and sequential phases to achieve the objectives are designed. The project includes: a descriptive phase, the assessment of environmental problems, a proposal of solutions, and a design phase of priority interventions, meaning the environmental improvement and restoration of the recreation area of the village and the transformation of an old pathway into an Ecological Track. It ends with technical specifications, construction documents and cost estimation. | |
