We explored different angular-momentum-preserving integration schemes for solving solid dynamics based on conservation laws, which lead to the hyperbolic form of the solid equations. These equations are typically spatially discretized by the Finite Volume approach, extensively applied to fluid dynamics, and intrinsically entail considering the velocity field as a degree of freedom, which is eventually responsible for the loss of the angular-momentum conservation.
