A new procedure that makes it possible to obtain far-field pattern cuts in real time, during the course of a measurement in a spherical near-field system, is proposed. The algorithm is based on calculating the Cylindrical Modal Coefficients of each near-field ring independently, considering them as cylinders of zero height and applying probe correction. Each far-field cut is reconstructed through an inverse Fast Fourier Transform. This approach can strongly acquisition time in applications which do not require a full or accurate characterization. The effectiveness of the method is verified with measurement data. | |
