| Although international cooperation has made significant progress in the last years in the context of Science, Technology and Innovation, there is still a need to improve the existing cooperation scheme. Engaging effectively in collaborative research and innovation is key for a successful development in the global market place as well as for further progress, at national and international level. This manuscript aims to showcase an existing supporting initiative for building partnership and cooperation between Europe and Latin American Countries, the LEADERSHIP project, which fosters EU-LAC cooperation in Horizon 2020 for joint technology development and knowledge transfer in ICT. With the goal to serve as a success example, this paper presents activities carried out as well as main results obtained during the first year of the project. | |
