In recent years, knowledge of Near-Earth Asteroids (NEAs) and missions to small bodies in the Solar System have enjoyed a considerable activity. The dynamical environment in the vicinity of small Solar System bodies is outlined, emphasizing the main perturbations acting on a spacecraft in a highly perturbed orbit. The dynamical requirements for orbital stability around asteroids are outlined through an analytical, averaged method. | |
