This paper presents a LC based security feature, which fits perfectly with the current interest in transparent windows in security documents. It is an extremely thin and flexible film that is transparent under daylight conditions. When the device is viewed illuminated by polarize light, latent images emerge very clearly defined. The images recorded on each side are different without any design dependency neither interference during the inspection process. No special devices are required during the checking process and crystal clear transparency is maintained at any moment. Special insertion process are required to integrate LILIAC® features in both banknotes and ID documents due to its special physicochemical properties in order to guarantee the documents integrity while maintaining the visual effect. | |
