Business simulation games facilitate the application of problem-based learning methods and enable the addition of gamification elements, while fostering self-regulated and experiential learning. This study explores the potential of business simulation games for the teaching of business administration in Engineering courses, with a broad scope and design plan that aims for the inclusion of national and foreign students in Bachelor?s and Master?s degree courses. The study explains the tight relation between problem-based learning methodologies and business simulation games, and analyzes the case of EASE2, a business simulation game tool used in the School of Telecommunication Engineering at Universidad Politécnica de Madrid. The study also describes the three actions conducted by the researchers in order to improve the business simulation and learning experience: functionality upgrades, internationalization of the software and documents, and simplification of the game and problem proposed to the students. | |
