Telemedicine makes it possible to improve patient healthcare, using Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) and telecommunication equipment to transfer information and give remote access to medical services.1,2 A component of telemedicine is teleconsultation between professionals, supported by the exchange of clinical information and videoconferencing, provided in rural areas where medical expertise is limited with access to specialized care.3,4 Moreover, the use of teleconsultation application as a learning resource is described in several experiences in the literature.5,6 This telemedicine application is a useful teaching methodology for developing practicebased learning and clinical skills for the writing of case studies at all stages (students, graduates, and specialists).7 Training examples include telepathology,8 the teledermatology,9,10 and surgical training. | |
