Mobile applications currently being developed require among other features to be adaptable to the user. In order to do so, it is necessary the user's permission to collect its digital footprint on the web or any other source. Additionally, it is necessary to know what characteristics of adaptability and custom recommendations would the user be fonder of. In this paper, we present an empirical investigation for which we have developed and analyzed a user's survey to gain first-hand knowledge about how confortable he would feel when an application has access to their data and what kind of data he is willing to share with the application. Results of this work have been placed in the context of an adaptable application to the user and will be useful to improve the adaptability and recommendations to the user when developing such applications. | |
