Experimental modelling is very useful in the training of structural engineers. Beyond theory and concepts, the practical resolution of a material structural device stimulates creativity and understanding in a very effective way. It has been shown that the connection between hand and head activates areas of the brain inaccessible from the computer screen. The manual construction game is a powerful didactic tool that combines freedom, understanding and inspiration. This paper presents the teaching experiences of students working with physical structural devices carried out in teams by students over the last 10 years and the lessons learned. | |
