Nowadays the use of satellites for high end communications is growing faster than ever, the measurements and simulations for the new generation are growing in importance. This paper presents the design and implementation of a satellite simulator. The simulations will be done on Ka band, at 38.4 GHz. For the analysis of the link budget where taken into account measurements done in Vigo in a suburban area, having a configuration that resembles an actual satellite link. These measurements will improve the simulator giving actual real results of the losses that occur in suburban scenarios. The importance of this study in not only academic, but also its great value for research, giving real information which can be used on real commercial or academic systems. | |
