Abstract

| The era of post-genomic clinical trials lead to the development of new technologies to help both researchers and clinicians in accessing and processing of information from heterogeneous, disparate data sources. ACGT is a European project that aims at providing a platform for enhancing the use of new technologies in clinical trials, mainly for improving prognosis and personalized treatment. The ACGT Mediator is a software layer able to tackle semantic heterogeneity and database integration based on the use of ontologies as domain models. | |
