Voltage sags are generally caused by short circuits in the electrical system. Installation of measurement devices allows obtaining the system characterization in terms of voltage sags. The location of measurement equipment in the network can be determined by applying techniques oriented to obtain a good system characterization for a certain configuration of the network. However, in the system operation it is common to have different scenarios influencing the determination of the optimal location of voltage sags monitors in the network. In this paper, the influence of generation scheduling on the problem of optimal location of voltage sags monitors is analyzed. Several case studies are showed on IEEE test systems. | |
