| Chemical analysis show that to use sodium sulphite is of interest to reduce protein contamination of NDF in some feeds, but in other might have even the opposite effect. Changes in the neutral detergent insoluble-N (NDIN) due to the sulphite use were associated with variations in the same way in the effective degradability of NDIN. Effective degradability of NDF may be also affected by the use of sulphite. Therefore, caution should be done in the interpretation of results obtained using sodium sulphite. | |
