| Trees can contribute significantly to mitigate air pollution. In Madrid, 16.8 kg of noxious metals from exhausts are absorbed by 6 tree species (254¿394 trees) per year. Sizable amounts of dust can be directly trapped by trees planted along large road axes. | |
