| Process plants and chemical processes are complex and large systems. They are physical systems consisting on physical components, which are subject to failures and faults. In order to deal with the complexity of the system a model is needed. There are several formalisms but this paper focuses on a visual formalism called d-higraphs and to its application to abnormal situation diagnosis. This formalism provides models that capture the functionality as well as the structure of the system modeled. | |
